HOW TO PICK A FANTASY FOOTBALL TEAM

Study the player list carefully and select your 11 players using the following rules:

1. Select teams in a 1-4-3-3 formation (1 Goalkeeper, 4 Defenders, 3 Midfielders and 3 Strikers).
   
   
2. Players must be selected in the positions attributed to them in the official You The Manager player lists. A player can only be selected in a team once - player duplication is not permitted.
   
   
3. The combined value of your 11 players must not exceed £60m.
   
   
4. There is NO LIMIT to the number of players that you can select from any one team - but you must stay within the budget of £60m. If a player moves to another Premier League club during the course of the season they will change to their new club. Remember the transfer amnesty is in place until 12:45pm on Saturday August 15th.
   
   
5. You can enter as many teams as you like.
   
   
6. Internet and phone registration will remain open until Saturday May 8th 2010.

HOW TO MAKE TRANSFERS TO YOUR TEAM

There are NO TRANSFER WINDOWS in You The Manager 2009/10. Each team will be able to use up to 20 transfers throughout the course of the competition. You can start to make transfers during the season on the 31st August 2009. Transfers operate on a weekly basis with one cut-off / team freeze at 12:00 midday on Saturdays.

NB. If you register on the Internet and pre-pay for transfers you'll save £7.00!

Remember - When you transfer a player out their points contribution to your team is frozen. No points from new players, accumulated prior to the transfer, will be added to your overall team score.

How can you make transfers? Depends how you registered:
Internet £8: Internet only. No additional cost.
Internet £5: Internet or Phone. 50p per transfer.
Telephone: Internet or Phone
Coupon: Internet or Phone (see confirmation letter)

How to use the Internet Transfer Service:
Just login using your email address and password, click on your team name and then click on Transfers in the left-hand menu. The cost is 50p per transfer with a minimum payment of £2. You do not need to make four transfers with your £2. Instead they will be stored to your account as credits, and you can make transfers with these credits at any time throughout the season. NB: Transfers credits cannot be used across more than one entry.

How to use the Telephone Transfer Service:
Phone the relevant number below and follow the simple instructions. Remember to have your Team PIN and player codes at hand. Make sure you stick within the £60m budget AT ALL TIMES. Check the player lists (located on the left-hand menu on the site) for player codes and values. All UK calls cost 75p/min and ROI calls cost 125c/min. Estimated call duration is one minute and twenty seconds for 2 transfers. Charges are from a standard BT landline, calls from mobiles and public payphones can be charged at a higher rate.

FANTASY FOOTBALL DEADLINES 2009/10

To start scoring from the very start of the season you'll need to register by 12.45pm on Saturday 15th August 2009. You can register a team later than this but it won't start scoring until the next cut-off / team freeze. There is a weekly cut-off / team freeze which is 12:00 midday every Saturday.

There will be a Transfer Amnesty prior to the start of the season (deadline is 12:45pm on August 15th 2009). If one of your selected players gets injured or you decide you'd prefer another player in your line-up you will be able to carry out that transfer provided it's made prior to the season starting. NB. This will not affect your allowance of 20 transfers for use during the competition. There will be no extra cost if you make the transfer(s) online. If you make transfer(s) via the phone the normal costs will apply.

Transfers can be made online or via the telephone from Monday 31st August. There is a weekly transfer cut-off/deadline of 12pm every Saturday. This means that all transfers made by 12pm on Saturday will count towards the following week's fixtures. If a transfers is made after this time, the player brought into your team will not start scoring for you until the following Saturday.
