D Kiely West Brom - £2m 7 Points Never have a club finished bottom of the Premier League and been held in such high regard by their peers. West Brom bowed out of the top flight with a solid performance, not least from their veteran back-up keeper. M Richards Manchester City - £4.5m 9 points Richards set-up the only goal for City against Bolton, and helped to keep a clean sheet. The young defender will be hoping for an up-turn in form for 2009/10. A Cole Chelsea - £5.5m 8 points Cole scored what proved to be the winning goal against Sunderland on the last day of the season. N Onuoha Man City - £2.5m 6 points Onuoha was definitely a major plus point for Mark Hughes this season. Will Sparky have enough faith in him to start him regularly next term? T Bramble Wigan - £2m 6 points Titus was as solid as ever against Portsmouth, as Wigan signed-off with a win... Will they survive without Sunderland-bound Steve Bruce? L Osman Everton - £4m 18 Points Osman's double against Fulham, plus his appearance in the FA Cup Final was enough to make him top-scoring player in the last gameweek of the season. F Malouda Chelsea - £4m 10 Points Hiddink's spell at Stamford Bridge has come to an end, but Blues fans will hope that Malouda can keep up the great form that the Dutchman brought out of him in the second half of the season. Y Benayoun Liverpool - £3m 8 Points One of Liverpool's unsung heroes, Yossi scored the third goal against Tottenham on the last day of the season. L Saha Everton - £3.5m 8 Points Scored a goal after 25 seconds of the Cup Final, but it was not to be for David Moyes' men. N Anelka Chelsea - £5m 13 Points Another great gameweek for the Frenchman, scoring a goal against Sunderland, and then setting up Lampard for the winner in the Cup Final 6 days later. R van Persie Arsenal - £6.5m 15 Points RVP scored two of Arsenal's four goals against Stoke on the final day... hitting form at the WRONG time... |
