Premier League Analysis

Birmingham 1 - 1 Derby

Birmingham, dominant from start to finish, were guilty of spurning a glut of chances. On the plus side, they created many, with Sebastian Larsson and Olivier Kapo doing most of the damage from the flanks. James McFadden looks set to win a permanent place in attack, but the second striker slot is still up for grab, in which case I’d advise avoiding Cameron Jerome, Mikael Forssel and Garry O’Connor as they continue to fight each other for a starting berth. Worth noting that Larsson picked up a yellow card which takes his tally for the season to four. He’ll miss a game if he receives another before February 29. Kapo will sit out Birmingham’s trip to West Ham on February 9 through suspension. (more…)
