With Wayne Rooney finally marrying his childhood sweetheart Coleen. He is now in for a nice long summer in the sun. The only up side and I mean only is that England players can not complain about being tired half way through the season!

Well, it looks like the rumour was correct, and Barcelona have agreed to sell Gio dos Santos to Tottenham. The fee seems very reasonable (thought to be £4.9m rising to £8m) and Spurs may have got a real flair player to go with Luka Modric, Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov… if he stays!

It appears that a lot of you feel that Fernando Torres will be the top-scoring striker (Cristiano Ronaldo aside) in the Premier League next season. 58% of the total responses we received went for Torres as the stand-out choice to bag the goals in 2008-09.
