Rafa is making life difficult for the fantasy manager…

Rafa - The High-Tinkerer

Is it just me, or do you think twice when adding a Liverpool player to your fantasy football team? Rafa Benitez’ team seems to change drastically every week, for no real reason…

I know that Rafa is using a rotation policy so that his players do not tire as the season goes on, but dropping some of his stars is starting to annoy everyone in the fantasy stratosphere!

There is a new fantasy prediction site called Fantasy Rafa, where people can sign-up and attempt to pick the starting XI that Rafa Benitez will pick for Liverpool’s next game. Check it out at www.fantasyrafa.com

It is no surprise to me that only two people out of well over 2,000 correctly guessed the starting line-up against Reading on Saturday evening. Ridiculously, out of over 50,000 attempts, only 575 guesses have been spot on so far this season!

I started the season saying Liverpool will win the league and Torres would be the buy of the season. Through stubbornness rather than confidence I have not faltered… yet. In fantasy terms however, Torres is out of my team and the former banker Clean Sheets from Finnan and Riise have been replaced by steadier back-four regulars at other teams. In my many fantasy teams across many games, I have no Liverpool players left…

I’m off onto Fantasy Rafa to see if I can beat the average of 6.56 out of 11… I am not holding my breath!
