Premier League Transfer Window Update
The staff at YTM HQ are a little disappointed with the comings and goings so far in the January transfer window. There has been plenty of talk but very little action.
Here is what has happened to date and a list of the best rumours we’ve read:
IN’s:
Derby - Danny Mills (loan), Emmanuel Villa
Manchester City - Nery Castillo
Newcastle - Ben Tozer
Sunderland - Jonny Evans (loan)
Tottenham - Chris Gunter
OUT’s:
Birmingham - Neil Kilkenny (loan)
Bolton - Gary Speed (loan)
Derby - Mo Camara (loan), Steve Howard
Manchester City - Danny Mills (loan - stays in EPL)
Manchester United - Jonny Evans (loan - stays in EPL)
Newcastle - Tim Krul (loan)
Sunderland - Stanislav Varga (loan)
Tottenham - Ben Alnwick (loan)
West Ham - Hogan Ephraim
Wigan - Fitz “one size” Hall
The Top Rumours:
Anelka to Chelsea. Looks a dead cert.
Martin Skrtel to Liverpool. He’s in town for his medical apparently.
Hutton to Spurs. Not great if you’ve got Chimbonda in your YTM team. Man Utd are also keen.
Berbatov staying put. The proposed fee is too high for a January move.
Hunt to Sunderland. Roy has a steely look in his eyes on this one.
Bianchi back to Italy. With Castillo already arrived and another striker due in it’s time for Rolando to head home.
Matt Taylor to Bolton or Sunderland. Harry has sanctioned the deal.
Darren Bent to West Ham. Spurs was the wrong move for young Darren.
Pandev to Spurs. A longshot but he’s quality and Ramos is bound to be active in the market.
Alfonso Alves to Manchester City. Citeh for the Champions League.
What odds would you give me on all those coming off by the end of the month? I’d be happy with 6/10!
Make sure your teams have had a New Year spruce up in time for this weekend as it’s the all important YTM Cup qualifying.
Good Luck!
Cheers,
Tom
