New Players added to Fantasy Football player list…

Quite possible the most exciting last day of the transfer window has passed, and there are a few new faces in the YTM playerlist to show you all…

341 - Pablo Zabaleta - Manchester City - Defender - £3.5m

Corluka has moved to Spurs, so Zabaleta should slide into his position unnoticed. Whether he is as effective as the Croat remains to be seen.

Dave’s YTM Rating: 5/10

342 - Glauber Berti - Manchester City - Defender - £2m

Berti is likely to be a back-up defender when injury strikes. He could be a useful transfer at some point this season.

Dave’s YTM Rating: 3/10

343 - Ibrahima Sonko - Stoke City - Defender - £1m

Sonko is a beast, but unfortunately he has signed for a poor outfit who look like shipping goals against everyone.

Dave’s YTM Rating: 1/10

643 - Keith Andrews - Blackburn Rovers - Midfielder - £2m

Incey has bought his former captain, but can he make the step-up from League 2 star to Premier League performer… I think… not.

Dave’s YTM Rating: 2/10

644 - Marouane Fellaini - Everton - Midfielder - £3m

Everton spent £15m on this box-to-box midfielder. He looks to be a very impressive young player, but is unlikely to score BIG fantasy football points this season.

Dave’s YTM Rating: 4/10

645 - Albert Riera - Liverpool - Midfielder - £4.5m

Liverpool has forked out on a winger?? I couldn’t believe it either when I heard! Hopefully Riera will play lots of games and be a big scorer for YTM managers.

Dave’s YTM Rating: 6/10

646 - Ignacio Gonzalez - Newcastle United - Midfielder - £2m

‘Nacho’ Gonzalez has arrived from Valencia, and he could be a useful squad member at St James Park. The managerial crisis as the club however puts me off picking him…

Dave’s YTM Rating: 4/10

784 - Ebi Smolarek - Bolton Wanderers - Striker - £2m

Bolton are looking for someone to fill the massive Anelka-shaped hole in the offence. Will Smolarek fill that void? I am reserving my judgement for now…

Dave’s YTM Rating: 4/10

785 - Daniel Cousin - Hull City - Striker - £2.5m

Cousin has signed from Rangers after being sent-off in his final game against Celtic. He scored in that game as well! Fun times ahead at the KC Stadium!

Dave’s YTM Rating: 3/10

786 - Robinho - Manchester City - Striker - £5m

The £32.5m man! Robinho is clearly in it for the money, but you cannot deny that he has a lot of talent, and the ability to take Man City to another level. If he gels with SWP/Elano/Petrov/Jo, he could be phenomenal.

Dave’s YTM Rating: 8/10 (I hope!)

787 - Xisco - Newcastle United - Striker - £3m

Kevin Keegan obviously did not want this player, but he was bought anyway. Keegan has since resigned, so can Xisco prove King Kev wrong and score some goals for Newcastle?

Dave’s YTM Rating: 5/10

788 - Roman Pavlyuchenko - Tottenham Hotspur - Striker - £5.5m

If Pavlyuchenko can re-create his form from EURO 2008, he could be a devastating striker for Spurs. Plus, they have some very easy games coming up, so he is going to get plenty of shooting practice before he faces the bog boys.

Dave’s YTM Rating: 9/10

789 - Fraizer Campbell - Tottenham Hotspur - Striker - £2.5m

Campbell came to White Hart Lane as part of the Berbatov deal, and he will definitely be a useful addition. with the only strikers on the books being Pavlyuchenko and Darren Bent! He should get a bit of playing time, but it may be only in the cup competition.

Dave’s YTM Rating: 3/10

Let me know what you think of these new signings… Do you agree with my assessments, or am I clearly deluded?

The jury is out…
