Fantasy Poll Results - Messi for £20m??

Well the results are in for the latest Fantasy Football Poll, and there seem to be a lot of wishful thinkers out there!

The question put to you was ‘If you had £20m, who would you buy during the summer transfer window?’. We had a lot of user-generated responses, and the stand-out winner was submitted by one of our readers…

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi received 231 votes, roughly a third of the total votes. Unfortunately, I do not think that you would be able to buy Messi’s weeker foot for £20m, but I suppose we all have to dream a dream!

In second place was Kaka. The Brazillian Milan star received 12% of total votes. Again, Chelsea were apparently prepared to bid £70m for this superstar, so I am not sure how far your £20m would have gone on that venture…

Of the options that we gave you to begin with, the most popular was Andrei Arshavin, who received 50 votes, 8% of the total votes. Arshavin was available for £20m, but Tottenham refused to budge in their valuation… It looks like you think they should have put their hands in their pockets for a bit more cash!
