The Carling Cup

This season we have included the domestic cup competitions. Now I know that Premier League teams entered the competition in the last round but in round three the European sides enter, otherwise known as the big guns.

Now when we decided to include these points people questioned if we were simply giving the top players more points. However this morning Arsenal have announced that their team to face Sheffield United will be made up of players from outside Arsene’s first team squad. Manchester United have also confirmed that the team to face Middlesbrough will have a young look to it

What does this mean for YTM? Well, like we hoped for this should be a chance for more low-key players to shine. A lot of points could be won over the next two days. If you look at the fixtures, Fulham face an away tie at Burnley, Stoke are at home to Reading, Sunderland are at home to Northampton, West Ham are away to Watford, Aston Villa are at home to QPR and Wigan take on Ipswich at Portman Road.

I believe if you have players from these clubs you could be in with a chance of our £100 weekly prize and our £10,000 monthly jackpot. The question is, did you consider the cup fixtures when you picked your side? Let me know how you do over the next couple of days…

Thanks
