With September drawing to an end a number of YTM managers will be looking forward to a new opportunity to win, a fresh start in the points, a top prize of £10,000 – in other words it is a new month. As October rolls around it brings with it the smell of Autumn and the taste of glory. Find out who will have an easy route to points in the upcoming month…
There are no particularly easy games in October.
Manchester
City will be hosting Middlesbrough and
Birmingham for the first two games, but will then be travelling to
Chelsea for their last one of the moment. Possibly a good bet will again rest on their defenders to get clean sheets, just beware the giant who has recently been knocked down to size.
Chelsea will be looking for a big fight back after losing their coach.
Manchester United will play Wigan and
Middlesbrough at home before travelling to Aston Villa. United will be backed for more clean sheets here, and Old Trafford supporters will be cheering for some goals as well.
The ever changing team of
Liverpool also have two games at home this month, although their opposition is slightly stiffer. They will be playing Tottenham and Arsenal at home, and travelling to Everton. No give away wins for Raffa’s men this month, we just hope there will be a place for Torres’ style of play – be it at Anfield or on the road.
Arsenal will be hosting two lower table teams, Sunderland and
Bolton, and could be in business for some good scoring opportunities. The Emirates is fresh after the 5-0 drubbing of
Derby and will be hoping for more this month. However the last fixture of October sees the Gunners travelling to Liverpool to meet one of
England’s best defences. Even with this mighty clash at the end of the month, Arsenal arguably have the easiest run this season, especially with the current form going into October.
On the other end of the table Bolton who are currently struggling for form will have a tough month against
Chelsea, Arsenal and Villa. Although two of these games are at home, they will struggle to salvage a point for yet another month in 2007.
Bottom of the table Derby have got no favours this month, they will be playing the first two games of the month away at
Reading and Fulham before hosting Everton. After being on the receiving end from two games against Liverpool and Arsenal, you would be wise to remove any
Derby players and look to add some of the opposition to increase your chances of scoring.
Cheers,
Chris @ YTM
